This fall, I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at Analog Mania, a unique art festival in Timisoara by Emil
Kindlein. Analog Mania is dedicated to celebrating analog art forms, such as analog -photography, -film, -music and much
more. The festival brought together artists, photographers and enthusiasts from all around the world to work together.
As a volunteer, my role varied daily. From assisting with exhibit installations to creatively contributing to the festivals
setup, such as designing the layout of exhibits to ensuring every detail aligned with the festival‘s artistic vision, I felt
deeply involved in shaping the atmosphere. We also spent some time on research, gathering information and inspiration
to keep the analog spirit alive.
What I loved most about volunteering in Analog Mania, was the festival‘s community spirit. The volunteers and the
artists connected on a personal level, exchanging ideas and stories. The group of international volunteers was more
than amazing. We all got along very well and spent most of the time together, from exploring the beautiful Timisoara
and its nightlife together, learning about each others cultures by participating in an intercultural night to singing
around the campfire and just enjoying every moment we had together
Volunteering at Analog Mania wasn‘t just about helping out for the festival It was about learning, growing, and being inspired by a passionate community. I‘ll always treasure the connections I made and the insight I gained into the charm of analog art.
